“IDEA Center”, headed by Dr. Nira Krumholtz, was established in 1987 at the Technion –Israel Institute of Technology and later affiliated to the Faculty of Engineering at Tel-Aviv University. The Center has been involved in development and implementation within the field of Technology and Science education. The specialty of the center is the development and implementation of Technology-Rich innovative learning environments with in the fields of technology, computer and science education. Such learning environments that had been developed are for example, Logo, LEGO-Logo, Techno-Logic and Techno-K’NEX. The core of the learning processes is the use of most advanced computer, multimedia and Information technologies to enhance consrtuctionist and interactive learning and teaching.
